About Ajfan
Hawa Ajfan EMC, known as Ajfan, is a Maldivian floral designer and European Master Certified Floral Designer whose creative practice is rooted in flowers, hospitality and human experience.
My professional journey began in luxury hospitality. I have more than fourteen years of experience within the hospitality industry, including six years working as a Butler before transitioning professionally into floral design.
Since 2020, I have worked as a Florist at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, creating floral designs across luxury hospitality environments, restaurants, villas, weddings, celebrations, events, guest experiences and seasonal installations.
My background in hospitality has strongly influenced the way I approach floral design. I understand that flowers are not simply decorative objects; they become part of an environment, an experience and a memory.

Philosophy
My Approach
I approach flowers as both a designer and a hospitality professional.
Every design begins with its environment, purpose and emotion. I consider colour, form, movement, proportion, botanical character and the experience of the person encountering the flowers.
Whether I am designing a bridal bouquet, a tablescape, an interior floral composition or an installation within a luxury resort, my intention is to create work that feels considered, expressive and connected to its setting.
